Old.St Labs is a designer and developer of cutting edge, bespoke technology products for international clients - including startups and established businesses. Examples range from a social events mobile app for a startup, to an AI-driven web app which matches psychotherapists and clients. We’re now looking to expand our team with a talented, creative, problem-solving Junior Developer.
The right candidate will be looking to take on a high level of responsibility for the projects they work on, bring their own ideas for the problems needed to be solved and play an important role in the expansion of the company. We work in several different tech stacks, meaning that you will learn new technologies as required by specific projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Building, managing and maintaining the front-end of various client projects
• Working in an Agile team, working with ClickUp to manage progress and estimate features
• Define and improve on software architecture
• Writing technical documentation where needed, training and support
• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability applications
• Pixel-perfect implementation of designs
• You must be a true “digital native” – tech should be a way of life, not just a career
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from a top university is helpful though not essential
• 1-3 years of software development experience
Exceptional HTML, CSS JavaScript and Typescript skills with good knowledge of React Native
• Kotlin or Swift experience is a plus
• Expertise in creating high-level designs, technical standards and define software coding standards
• Self-managing and able to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent English communication skills both written and oral, ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people
